Xi'an

After a night train of 15 hours we arrived to Xi'an early in the morning, the same morning we arranged a day trip to go and see the Terracota Army, that was AMAZING! even if some parts is still under excavation it's awsome to see this. The Emperor Qin Shi Huang was terrified of the vanquished spirits awaiting him in the afterlife, or, as most archaeologists believe, he expected his rule to continue in death as it had in life he had done in 200 BC a whole army of pottery warriors. It was discoveried by a farmer in 1974. It can be visit the three different pits, the Pit number 1 it's the biggest with over 6000 warriors and horses, just show 1000, Pit number 2 containing around 1300 warriors and horses and the Pit number 3 is the smarllest containing 72 warriors and horses. Over the years the site became so famous that many of its unusual attributes are now well known, in particular the fact that no two soldier's faces are alike. We also visited some museums and tombs that it wasn't so interesting. We went to get a nice dinner in the muslim quarters.
Today 7th of June we went to an Old Mosque and tonight we will take the night train to Beijing.

Despues de un tren nocturno de 15 horas llegamos a Xi'an por la maniana temprano, esa misma maniana conseguimos una escursion de un dia al Ejercito de Terracota, increible! incluso sabiendo que la mayoria todavia sigue sin estar desenterrado es una pasada verlo.
La leyenda dice que el Emperador Qin Shi Huang estaba aterrorizado por los espiritus que le esperaban en la vida despues de la muerte, o, segun casi todos los arqueologos creen, el esperaba continuar governando una vez muerto igual que hizo en vida por eso mando hacer en el anio 200 antes de Cristo un ejercito entero de guerrero de ceramica que fueron enterrados con el para protegerle. Fue descubierto por un granjero en 1974. El recinto consiste en tres pavellones, se puede visitar los tres, el primero, el mas grande, con mas de 6000 guerreros y caballos, aunque solo exiven unos 1000, el pavellon numero 2 contiene unos 1300 guerreros y caballos y el pavellon numero 3, el mas pequenio, contiene 72 guerreros y caballos. Durante estos anios se ha hecho tan famoso este ejercito que cosas tan raras como que no hay ningun soldado que se le parecezca a otro ha llegado a ser algo que medio mundo sabe. Tambien visitamos unos museos y una tumba que no fue muy interesante. Por la noche fuimos a cenar a la zona arabe.

Hoy 7 de Junio fuimos a una mezquita muy antigua y esta noche cogemos un tren a Pekin.
