Sapa

The 22th of May we arrived to Lao Cai with the night train, then we arranged a minibus to get to Sapa, 30km away. A beautiful mountain town 1600m above sea level. For us one of the most stunning places this far. We met an american guy on the minibus with who we ended up spending the rest of the time in Sapa with we went trekking to some minority villages, Mong, Zao. We spent a night in a Zao village named Ta Van (homestay). We rented a motorbike and went up in the mountains to visit the Heaven's gate and the Silver Waterfalls. We also had a night out with some other tourists and Mongs, local community. The only problem that we found in Sapa was the fog that made the visability low at times.
El 22 de Mayo llegamos a Lao Cai en el tren nocturno, alli conseguimos un minibus que nos llevo a Sapa, a unos 30 km. Un hermoso pueblo a 1600m del nivel del mar. Para nosotros fue uno de los sitios mas increibles hasta ahora. Conocimos a un chico americano en el minibus con el que acabamos pasando el resto de los dias en Sapa. Aqui pudimos hacer una caminata a unas aldenas de grupos ethnicos, Mong, Zao. Dorminos en una aldea de Zao que se llamaba Ta Van. Alquilamos unas motos y subimos mas hacia la montania para visitar la Puerta del Cielo y las Cataratas de Plata. Tambien disfrutamos de una noche fuera con algunos turistas y con gente Mong, de una cominidad ethnica. El unico problema que encontramos en Sapa de vez en cuando la niebla no deja ver demasiado.
